Western Slope Cowboy Gathering

A long-running program of the Museums of Western Colorado, this year’s Western Slope Gathering will feature top local and national cowboy poets and western singers over two days and nights of good family fun. Rim, Rock Run Marathon

November 6th

Colorado National Monument | 1750 Rimrock Dr. Fruita, CO 81521

The U.S. Bank Rim Rock Run Marathon takes participants over the Colorado National Monument from Grand Junction to Fruita, CO, displaying a scenery like no other. The peaceful course features views of towering monoliths, vast plateaus and canyon panoramas. The race finishes in downtown Fruita’s Circle Park at a celebration that includes live entertainment, local food and merchandise and a beer garden.

Wine & Whiskers Gala

November 13th @6:30pm

Two Rivers Winery| 2087 Broadway Grand Junction, CO 81507

This year’s Wine & Whiskers Gala benefits the Roice-Hurst Humane Society and features the organization’s adoptable dogs and cats, wine from Two Rivers Winery, appetizers from The Cowboy and the Rose and one of the best animal-themed online silent auction in the valley. Proceeds benefit the work at Roice-Hurst Humane Society. Admission is $50-$75.
