5 Must-Tour Wineries in & Around Grand Valley’s Wine Country

Grand Junction isn’t just known for its breathtaking view of the Colorado National Monument, it's also home (and neighbor) to dozens of award-winning wineries and vineyards on the western slope. When you think of the Grand Valley, you may not think wine country, but it is home to Palisade, the heart and soul of Colorado’s wine country and a must-visit on any wine tour. Take a look at our five favorite wineries, including one in GJ, and be prepared to discover your new favorite wine!

Two Rivers Winery & Chateau | 2087 Broadway Grand Junction, CO

This family-operated winery is nestled near the Colorado National Monument, and has become one of Grand Junction’s popular locations for local wine. Built from the ground up on 15 acres of vacant land in the late 90s, it features a beautiful country French chateau, and an inn for upscale lodging.

Two Rivers Winery has award-winning wines which can be tasted and purchased in the intimate setting of its tasting room.

Shiras Winery | 449 Colorado Ave. Grand Junction, CO

Shiras Winery; pronounced ("shy'-rahs") is one of the smallest wineries in Colorado in terms of cases produced. Located in downtown Grand Junction, Shiras’ wines are hand-crafted, and bottled on-site in a craft brewery-style winery, rather than by harvested grapes from its own vineyard. If you prefer small-batch wine, look no further than Shiras. Its unique concept allows the winemakers to create a larger variety of wines from select regions versus sourcing from one vineyard.
